Using Sophia
You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live and use Sophia for lawful educational support. Children should not create or operate accounts. You are responsible for the content you upload and for having the right to use it.
Educational limits
Sophia is an AI learning guide, not a teacher, tutor, school, assessment authority, medical professional, or legal adviser. Do not use it for emergencies, high-stakes grading decisions, or as the sole basis for decisions about a child.
Accounts and security
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us if you suspect unauthorized use. We may limit or suspend activity that threatens the service, violates these terms, or attempts to bypass quotas and payment controls.
Credits and payments
A guest receives one explanation; verified accounts receive two free explanations per day. Free requests do not accumulate. Paid credits are one-time purchases, do not expire while the service operates, and are consumed only after free daily requests. Opening Levels 2 and 3 and the included attempt check do not consume another credit. A worksheet submitted as one assignment may contain several tasks and is treated as one request.
Acceptable use
Do not upload malware, illegal content, private information you are not authorized to share, or material intended to exploit or reverse engineer the service. Do not use automated means to evade limits, resell access, or interfere with other users.
Your content and generated output
You retain rights you have in uploaded content. You give us the limited permission needed to store, transmit, and process it to operate Sophia. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, generated output is available for your personal educational use.
Availability and changes
We work to keep Sophia available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. Features, models, packs, and free limits may change prospectively. Purchased credits and completed transactions remain reflected in the account ledger.
Disclaimers and responsibility
The service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding how to use them.
