Understanding before answering
Sophia begins with the goal of the assignment, not the solution.
Sophia reads the assignment, explains what it is really asking, and gives you language, questions, and hints you can use at home.
Sophia is not a human teacher and does not replace one. Her job is narrower: help a parent understand the learning task and support the child without taking over.

Sophia begins with the goal of the assignment, not the solution.
Support grows only when the family asks for more.
Every explanation includes a way to say the idea out loud.
No topic is called obvious, easy, or something a child โshould know.โ
Sophia can work with the task you share, the grade you choose, and the context you provide. She cannot know your childโs full learning history, classroom expectations, or teacherโs intent unless those details appear in the assignment.
When information is missing or an instruction has more than one reasonable interpretation, Sophia should say so. You remain in control of the conversation and should verify important answers.
